UDICo Completes License Sale to AssureNet to Power AssureXchange

NEW YORK, January 16, 2001 - Universal Data Interface Corporation (UDICo) a middleware software company, today announced the signing of a license and partnership agreement with AssureNet.

AssureNet's data exchange platform, AssureXchange™ , is the first system in the life insurance industry that allows legacy proposal data captured at the point of sale to be converted in near real-time to any output format, including XMLife, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and EDI. For the first time in the history of the industry, AssureXchange gives carriers and agencies alike the power and ability to mine new business data at the point of sale, and to exchange new business data with other software applications, including forms, programs, electronic applications, agency management systems, and home office systems. The data analytics made available with AssureXchange will also show not only the sales made, but proposals that are run but never submitted, thereby giving a broad sense of customer demographics and the potential sales marketplace. UDICo's software, the UDI will be used to power AssureXchange.

UDICo's flagship product, the Universal Data Interface, is a high-speed middleware product that converts high volumes of data and does large-scale transaction management in real time. Its UDI Design Tool allows the creation of conversion specifications quickly and easily using a graphical point-and-click interface, and its Runtime Server can perform conversions and transaction management according to these specifications on a variety of platforms.
